Y is a Registered Massage Therapist, graduating from Mohawk College, with more than 300 hours of hands-on experience, including providing massage therapy at senior homes, participation house, hospitals and the student clinic. She has worked with a great variety of clients of all age ranges from young people to seniors.
Y has always wanted to be in health care and help others, and Massage Therapy is one way to do that. A close friend inspired her to choose massage therapy as a career by explaining how much impact it can have on peoples lives. One of Y’s favourite things about being an RMT is to see clients leaving the room relaxed, happy and feeling good. Her favourite type of treatment is relaxation with slow and deep pressure, in addition, Y also often suggests some simple home care to clients like stretches or hydrotherapy to help maintain their gains from treatments. Y particularly enjoys helping alleviate neck, shoulder and upper body tension that is typically seen in students and anyone who spends a great deal of time sitting at a desk.
